Website Hosting
Website hosting is the rental of the space you need to hold the files which make up your website, and/or the space to store your e-mails. There is no limit set on the amount of space you can use for your website and e-mails.
We also provide hosting and full e-mail facilities for customers who wish to create their own websites, as well as for customers who would prefer us to create a website for them.
To take advantage of our website hosting, all you need to do is to either register a website name with us and select the hosting package you require as part of that registration process, or, if you've already registered your website name, simply contact us and we'll transfer the website name for you so you can use it with one of our hosting packages.
The space for your website is available immediately once set up, and you'll be able to send and receive e-mails as soon as your website name has fully registered (usually within 24 hours).
To keep things simple for you, we don't split website hosting options down so you have to try to understand exactly what you need and then make a choice - you have a simple choice of one of three website hosting packages - depending on what you need from your website, one of our packages will apply - we are happy to talk to you to help you to decide which one. You can see what is included in the 'Website Hosting Packages' section below. We do, of course, provide optional extras such as secure web space (SSL) for collecting credit cards, as well as a spam filtering option for e-mails and full integration with Protx, PayPal and other payment gateways.
There are no 'set-up fees'

The Website Hosting Packages
We provide three website hosting packages (the prices for which can be found on our prices page).
e-mail Only Hosting
Standard Hosting (for standard websites), and
Interactive Hosting (where pages are built at the point they are displayed (e.g. an online shop or booking system), or when data entered onto the site needs to be stored in a database)
e-mail Only Package (£25 per year)
The E-Mail Only hosting package gives you:
limited e-mail addresses@yourdomain.com
e-mail forwarding - so you can send your e-mails to an existing e-mail address if required
webmail - so you can access your e-mails from any PC with an internet connection
auto-responders - so you can automatically reply to incoming e-mails with a standard message
Standard Hosting Package (£200 per year)
The Standard Website Hosting package is suitable for the majority of people needing a website.
With the Standard Hosting Package you get, as standard:
high specification, fully managed, server - your pages are delivered at high speed when someone wants to look at them (some hosting is considerably slower and users won't wait for the pages, so will go to a competitor's website)
UK hosting - All websites hosted in the UK
All our packages come with a guaranteed ten minute response time to all tickets submitted through our online helpdesk system aswell as a 24/7 telephone support.
Our servers are located across a number of purpose built datacenters within the U.K each with 24/7 engineer support and security, UPS and backup generators connected via ATS, powerful air cooling systems and secure four layer access systems.
Our dedicated servers utilise Supermicro chassis and motherboards and are all custom built in house using the highest quality components including 3Ware RAID controllers, Seagate hard drives and Kingston FB ECC memory. Every dedicated server package comes with their own IP allocation routed on our redundant Juniper M7i routers with upstream connectivity from Tiscali, Telia and NTT/Verio.
e-mail forwarding - so you can send your e-mails to an existing e-mail address if required
webmail - so you can access your e-mails from any PC with an internet connection
e-mail auto-responders - so you can automatically reply to incoming e-mails with a standard message
statistics - so you can see how many people have visited your website and from where
customisable error pages
the ability to use password protection for areas of your site (for example an administration area)
full FTP access so you can access your files on the webserver and update your site yourself
Extra Software - if a particular package you require is not currently installed on the server, we may be able to install it for you
monthly off-site backup - this can be increased to weekly or daily if required, just ask. If you manage your own website and make a mistake, we can restore it to the last backup
The Interactive Hosting Package (£300 per year)
The Interactive Website Hosting Package is suitable for anyone needing a shopping cart, online booking system or Content Management System (CMS) and includes all of the above plus:
MSSQL and MySQL databases
mySQL administrator via Phpmyadmin
off-site data backup of your database
off-site backup of website files
We also offer a full online-shop package (available in either .net or php) which includes the registration of a website name, the first year's hosting and full installation and customisation of your online shop to match your corporate branding.
Optional Extras
We can also offer (at an additional cost):
Shared Secure webspace (SSL) - safely collect credit card details on a secure page.
Personal Secure webspace (SSL) - this also enables collection of credit card details on a secure page within your own domain. A security certificate must be registered to the website. There is a one-off installation charge for this service.
